Frye Electronics announces that the FONIX NOAH Audiometer Module version 2.02, FONIX NOAH Real-ear Module version 2.21 and FONIX NOAH Troubleshooter version 1.11 now work with Windows 7 - 32-bit and 64-bit.
A new and improved Digital Speech signal is available for all current Frye analyzers. It provides accurate measurements for Digital Hearing Aids that have Feedback and Noise suppression. Open Fit Hearing Aids are now very popular and this signal makes them very easy to test.
Real-ear now available on the FONIX 8000 Hearing Aid Test System
Frye Electronics is pleased to announce Real-ear Measurements on the FONIX 8000 Hearing Aid Test System. The Real-ear Option includes single or dual probe microphones with Visible Speech, Real-ear SPL, and Insertion Gain testing. All existing 8000 analyzers can be upgraded!
The FONIX 8000 Hearing Aid Test System features the Polar Plot sound chamber, a new innovation in the world of hearing aid testing. This unique sound chamber has a special configuration in which the directional hearing aid is mounted vertically and automatically rotated 360° in order to obtain polar plot measurements within a clinical test environment. With directional hearing aids becoming more and more popular every year, this technology is a vital tool for any hearing health professional.
The FONIX 8000 analyzer has new advanced computing power with extremely fast measurements, USB computer connectivity, and the ability to add new innovations such as the directional polar plot measurements.

Gain Targets
In addition to the Insertion Gain and SPL targets, the FP35 analyzer now has Real-ear Gain targets in the Real-ear Unaided & Aided screen. More clinicians are moving away from the traditional Insertion Gain and towards the newer Gain and SPL targets.
Digital Speech Improvements
Updates have been made to the Digital Speech signal to improve measurements of high-end digital hearing aids with feedback management.
These improvements come on top of other recent improvements such as improved NAL-NL1 targets for moderate gain hearing aids, a new test for frequency shifting hearing aids, real-ear and coupler third octave analysis, battery current drain, external speech input, and a new, faster printer. (Hardware improvements may not be available as upgrades.)

FONIX NOAH Real-ear Module v2.21
We are pleased to announce the release of a new update to our popular FONIX NOAH Real-ear Module. This module provides a computer-based interface with all supported FONIX hearing aid analyzers. This new release adds the new MOD NAL formula with reduced gain prescriptions.
New Product - HEARLab ACA
National Acoustics Laboratories has partnered with Frye Electronics to produce the HEARLab System. HEARLab performs Cortical Auditory Evoked Potential (CAEP) measurements, which are used to estimate whether sounds are easily detectable by the patient.
A statistical analysis of each response is automatically calculated to determine the likeliness that the patient detected the test signal. The clinician can verify this analysis with a visual examination of the measured cortical response.
Two types of CAEP tests are available: Aided Cortical Assessment (ACA) and Cortical Threshold Evaluation (CTE). ACA measurements use speech tokens with low, mid, and high frequency emphasis in order to measure the aided CAEP and verify the effectiveness of the hearing aid fitting. CTE measurements use highly frequency-specific tones to estimate the unaided hearing thresholds. These tests are particularly useful in testing patients unwilling or unable to cooperate with normal audiometric tests.
Currently available as export-only with FDA approval pending.
WinCHAP Computer Hearing Aid Program
We have released v3.00 of the WinCHAP program. This update adds support for the FONIX 8000 Hearing Aid Test System including a new test for grabbing Coupler Directional results made with the Polar Plot sound chamber
