It Is Time

...to get ANSI '03 on your FONIX Analyzer.

October 15, 2008
The FDA has published its Direct Final Rule; Confirmation of Effective Date amending hearing aid labeling to reference "the most recent version of the consensus standard used to determine the technical data to be included in labeling for hearing aids."

What this means is that starting October 15, 2008, any newly designed hearing aids will need to be labeled with ANSI 03 specifications. Hearing aids designed prior to that date can continue to be labeled to the ANSI 96 specification.

All existing 7000, FP35, 6500, and FP40 hearing aid analyzers can be updated to the ANSI 03 standard. Some analyzers, particularly 6500s and FP40s, may require additional hardware and software upgrades. Contact us with the serial number of your analyzer for an upgrade quote!
