The FONIX NOAH Real-ear Module, FONIX NOAH Audiometer Module, and the FONIX Troubleshooter are all NOAH modules. That is, they function entirely inside NOAH and save all data into the NOAH database.
Windows Vista has added a slight complication to how these NOAH modules function. If you are running Windows Vista and you want to use one of the FONIX NOAH modules, you must do the following:
1) Update your NOAH System to version 3.6.1. This is a free upgrade for all registered users of NOAH System 3. It makes NOAH compatible with Windows Vista.
2) Run NOAH 3 as administrator. This is required because of our NOAH modules need to read, write, and modify some of the files in their installation directories, and Windows Vista has some very strict restrictions on this. To set NOAH 3 to always run as administrator:
a. Right click on the NOAH 3 icon on your desktop and select Properties.
b. Select the Compatibility tab.
c. Select Always Run As Administrator.
d. Click Apply Changes and Ok to close this window.
